Christian Schwarzenegger, Professor for Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure Law and Criminology

Christian Schwarzenegger is Co-Director of the Criminological Institute, University of Zurich and President of the Swiss Association for International and European Criminal Law. Schwarzenegger is conducting research in the fields of cybercrime legislation, protection of intellectual property by criminal law, biomedical law, and approximation of criminal law within the European Union. He has won several research grants from the Swiss National Foundation and other institutions. Regarding international criminal law he is particularly interested in the sanction system and the role of victims in international criminal trials.
